Walking
Walking is one of my favourite ways of relaxing, keeping fit and getting ideas for writing. I’m lucky to have a variety of glorious coastline and walking countryside close by. When I first moved to Devon I found joining walking groups was a great way to meet people and discover the area. Now I lead health walks so that other people can share the enjoyment.
Readers fortunate enough to visit or live in East Devon will soon be able to explore some of the real settings found in Revenge Ritual. Climb up to Orcombe Point in Exmouth, where the story starts with Elliot plunging to his death on the cliffs below; stroll around Sidmouth to see where Kate’s office at The Centre for Criminal Research is based or visit The Clock Tower Café, Micki’s favourite place in England. Take a longer walk from Otterton, where Kate’s father, Terence lived, to the magnificent Ladram Bay where I have taken the liberty of building the fictitious new town of Ladram Heights, where much of the story plays out.
